The ‘My 67 Minutes’
campaign encourages everyone to take 67 minutes out of their day – one minute for every year that Mandela fought for human rights and social justice – to do something for someone else or for their community.
Our Grade 7 learners and Craft Club learners are busy knitting and crocheting squares which will be joined to make blankets. The blankets will be handed over to the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day organisation at the end of May 2023.
If family and friends would like to help, we are collecting the following:
■ Wool donations (double knit)
■ knitted or crocheted squares
20cm x 20cm or 40cm x 40cm
■ completed blankets
140cm x 180cm or 120cm x 160cm
These items can be sent to school with your child and handed into their class teacher or they can be handed in at the front office. #67minutes #mandeladay2023 #jwsintothefuture
