John Wesley School: Striving for Excellence

John Wesley School is a Christian independent primary school that has served the Pinetown and greater Highway area in KwaZulu-Natal with distinction since opening its doors in 1977.

Offering English medium instruction in a co-educational environment, John Wesley School produces young men and women with the knowledge, character and integrity necessary to become outstanding citizens and boldly face up to the numerous challenges with which they will be confronted in modern society.

The school has a strong team supported by the Board of Governors, parents and staff who all share a commitment to the children and their wellbeing.

We encourage parents to share responsibility for their children’s education, and we look forward to a happy partnership with you and your family.

John Wesley School Sports Festival Chess champions in action

2017 John Wesley School Sports Festival took place recently during one of the rare and untimely cold snaps experienced at this time of the year. Inspite of the chilly, wet weather, the rain held off, and a great time was enjoyed by all.

John Wesley School Pinetown hosted John Wesley School Kosi Bay and John Wesley School Eshowe to an overnight stay and a morning of sporting activities. Saturday, 13 May 2017 saw the schools competing against one another in soccer, netball and chess. The Pinetown children thoroughly enjoyed hosting their friends from Eshowe and Kosi Bay and look forward to seeing them again in 2018. The 2017 Sports Festival brought the three Principals, Mr Darron Tarr (Pinetown) Mrs Loreen McDonald (Eshowe) and Mr Victor Gumede (Kosi Bay) together for the first time, which further cemented the relationship between the schools.
